How fast?

FiOptics Internet allows you to have exceptionally high-speed connections. We offer service in 10Mb, 20Mb and 30Mb service levels. These speeds allow you to easily and quickly stream videos or music to your computer. To test your speed, click here.

What affects speeds? (Why is my connection slow?)

Normally, call details on Community Connection calls are not provided. A summary of calls made will be included in your standard monthly bill. If you wish to see call details each month, one of our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to assist you. Simply call us at 513-565-2210 or toll free at 1-866-565-2210.

How many computers can use the service?

FiOptics does not charge additional fees for connecting multiple computers. We provide you with a modem/router that supports 4 wired devices and 32 wireless devices.

Is there a wireless option?

FiOptics customers are given a wireless modem with their service. This means you can connect any wifi-enabled device (laptop, wifi-phone, Ipod Touch) to the service without any additional equipment. However, we do have to mention that due to the limitations of some wireless equipment, you may not realize the full speed of your FiOptics connection if you're using an older wireless adapter (802.11b) or if you are using our 30Mb service.

What Operating Systems/Browsers are supported?

Currently, we support Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OSX. For web browsers, we support Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0, Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 and also Safari. While other browsers and operating systems should work fine with our network, we currently do not provide any technical support for them at this time.
